★★★★★ After registering, it got verified within a day. Just follow the instructions—transfer money from your own bank, not through an ATM transfer (many people don’t read the terms and conditions properly, they just rush in. Then, when it doesn’t work, they start complaining). After two weeks, I received the debit card. The debit card looks amazing! Registering online is really easy. The HLB Connect app is also very user-friendly.

★★★★★ The NRIC photo taking is a bit tricky to do, hence 1 less star; however, I appreciate the convenience of application. I've just received my activation email which took about 4 business hours (12 hours since I submitted my application).

★★☆☆☆ Don't bother to apply account online because you will need to go to branch to activate account. What happened to me is I applied an account for my daughter with hong leong apply app. After application sent, I received an email from hong leong to deposit rm20 to activate account. After bank in, they told me my daughter account is deactivated and need her to activate it at branch. I now can't close the account nor get back my money unless I sent my daughter to hong leong. Seriously Hong Leong?!

★★☆☆☆ Ask me to go to branch?! I'm existing customer of HLB and I checked existing customer can apply HLB wallet. But at the end still can't. Also, no provide any reason.
