Description
Aramaic Peshitta New Testament Translation is a translation of the New Testament into English that is based on the Gwilliam text. This translation includes explanatory footnotes marking variant readings from the Old Syriac, Eastern text, and other Peshitta manuscripts. Other footnotes provide cultural understanding and a system of abbreviations that mark idioms and figures of speech so that they are easily recognizable. The translation is as literal as possible, but with readable English, giving the flavor and rhythm of Eastern language. Aramaic is the language of the first century and the Peshitta is the earliest complete manuscript of the New Testament. About the Author: Janet Magiera has been studying the Peshitta for over 45 years and has developed a database of the New Testament from the Aramaic Peshitta text, which produced an interlinear, concordance, parallel translations, and lexicon, as well as the Light of the Word Ministry translation. Her database is published online at aramaicdb.org and soon to be in Bible GT. Mrs. Magiera is an ordained minister and has been teaching Bible studies and classes throughout the United States. She also has written a number of topical books which can be found on Amazon or at the bookstore at www.bookstore.lightlofword.org. She lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I've found the translation to be amazing it explains the words better than most translations, since the New Testament was originally written in Aramaic, the words in this translation stands out.

Aramaic Peshitta New Testament Translation This scholarly work is a pleasure to read. Having read the hardcover for over three years I still enjoy cross-referencing this text with the KJV and the Amplified to gain more understanding of the scriptures. The notes about culture and figures of speech are very informative. A great achievement by Rev. Jan Magi era.

Although Magi era doesn't make Aramaic Primacy claims, her translation is a coequal among the three best currently available English-direct-from-Aramaic New Covenant translations, all of which have weaknesses but all of which provide countless "treasures lost in the translation" into Greek and which can, in most cases, affirm original meaning via. The "word of two or three witnesses" rule for discerning truth. The New Covenant (Isaiah 54; Jeremiah 23.6, 31.27-37; Hebrews 8.6-13) is WAY better!!!!

Do not waste your money. This is just a regular reading KJV bible. I am highly disappointed and want to be refunded. It is sad that people would use the bible to steal money. Do not waste your time and money. It is not an Aramaic bible at all

I do not see any Aramaic names Jeshua, or Jehovah...not much different than KJV, except lots explained information when you press numbers. I was hoping to see real name of The Living God, but I do not see.
