Armor Buster: Ballistics Sim

Armor Buster is a ballistic proving ground in your pocket. Build armor from layers of metal, fire a bullet at it and watch, microsecond by microsecond, how the plate bends, cracks and either stops the shot or lets it through.

This is not a scripted animation. The armor and the bullet are made of tens of thousands of particles, and each of them tracks deformation, stress, heating and fracture. The model is tuned against published lab tests of 7.62 mm bullets on steel and aluminium, so the results follow real ballistics.

In the campaign every mission is an engineering puzzle: stop a pistol bullet, an assault rifle round, an armor-piercing bullet or fragments, while staying within the mass and budget limits. Lighter armor and a clean back side earn up to three stars.

What's inside:

• 5 chapters and 25 missions with three-star ratings
• Free-fire proving ground with every bullet and material
• Steels, armor steels, aluminium, titanium and ceramics
• Pistol, rifle and armor-piercing bullets, 12.7 mm rounds and fragments
• Sloped armor in full 3D, including ricochets
• Multi-layer and spaced armor
• 9 views: cracks, stress, shock wave, heating, velocity and more
• Slow-motion replay of every hit with a timeline
• Simple view for everyone, detailed view for engineers
• English, Russian, Spanish and French

In the proving ground you choose everything yourself: the weapon, its velocity, the materials, the layer thicknesses and the slope. Find out why sloped armor works, how a hard core shatters on ceramics and what spall flies off the back of a plate.

Armor Buster is a game about materials and engineering: curiosity, experiments and a little physics.

Build. Shoot. Find out.

Recent changes:
• Improved V2.2 simulation: metals hold together better, crumple and deform on impact.
• All 25 campaign levels have been tuned for the updated model.
• Added the Sandbox subscription: the entire base catalog of ammunition and materials, with no regular ads.
• Items unlocked by watching ads remain available for 72 hours. Campaign rewards remain unlocked permanently.
