Description
The Astera App offers intuitive and fast control of complex lighting setups with fully customizable programs and effects. It is designed to work seamlessly with other control methods such as wireless DMX. On top of this, the app offers numerous helpful tools to get the most out of your Astera lights and save time whenever you use them.

COLORS The AsteraApp offers several ways to select colors such as color-wheel, Filter Gels, color temperature, HSI, RGB and CIE 1931. Thanks to Astera’s ultra-precise Truecolor calibration, Astera fixtures can display the precise color that was selected.
PROGRAMS Create programs out of colors, effects and settings. The lights will remember and repeat these effects without requiring a constant wireless link.
LAYERS (new in V11) It is now easier than ever to control pixels of your Astera lights and create complex effects and combine several effects to one program.
TARGETS Quickly create groups of lights, assign positions and select which lights should receive commands. With the alternative targets view (new in V11) you can see which target is running which effect and quickly adjust effect and brightness.
TALKBACK+ Detect all available lights, set them up, check their status, configure DMX addresses and DMX presets.
SEAMLESS RUNTIME Set the length of your show and be sure that your lights won’t run out while still getting the maximum brightness.
DJ FEATURES Auto BPM analyzes the beat and matches programs to it, Flash buttons can trigger special effects while being held down.
THEFT ALARM With built-in sensors the lights give visual and audio alarm and send notification to the AsteraApp™ if they are being moved during an event.
SCHEDULED STANDBY Send lights into power-saving standby and schedule them to wake up and sleep at certain times.
ANTI FLICKER Avoid flickering in recorded videos by adjusting the PWM frequency of the lights.
PLEASE NOTE: This app is designed to control Astera lights and requires an ART7 transmitter. Without Astera lights and transmitter box it won’t work.

Lots of great control, I had very little problems setting up and connecting. I didn't have the bridge box, and had some intermittent connection difficulties with btb tubes and phone app

This app is completely unreliable. At no point do I trust it to stay connected to anything. Multiple times I've had sets held up because this system decided to drop connection. This is completely inexcusable. If you need wireless control I honestly would not recommend using any Astera lights unless you have a wireless DMX system. Also, the user interface is terrible. Most jobs all I need to do is adjust level and CCT on lights I can't physically get to. This should be quick and simple, it's not.

After a recent update, the app has become unusable and honestly an embarrassment to use on set. Bluetooth's connection to the AsteraBox used to take a few seconds at most and was automatic. Now, whenever I unlock my phone to use the app, it's a 50/50 gamble of whether it'll connect automatically, and when it does connect it takes between 1–2 minutes, which is an unacceptable amount of time when you're trying to light a commercial project. Please fix this.

Keeps disconnecting. Have to restart app and Bluetooth to reconnect. Won't connect using Wi-Fi at all. Rubbish.
