SHIPS, NOT TOWERS
• Five ship classes: Dart interceptors, Hammer gunships, Lance rail lancers, Mender repair ships and Miners.
• Post ships anywhere inside your command ring. They fly out, chase, dodge and shoot on their own, and you can drag them to a new post at any time.
• Big rocks split when you shoot them. Break them far out, or the pieces rain down on your station.
• Research Mk II for a whole class at once, then pick one of two Mk III specs: Swarm or Seeker, Barrage or Graviton, Piercer or Overcharge, Aegis or Field, Hauler or Armored.
• Send Miners out past your defences for crystal, which pays for the best research.
CAMPAIGN, SOLO OR CO-OP
• 12 levels, from First Contact to Event Horizon: iron that shrugs off guns, crystal that shatters under bombs, comets too fast for bombs, and the Colossus.
• Normal: win up to 3 stars. Hard: your station starts damaged, with no repairs. Extreme: one hit left, in one continuous wave.
• Spend stars on the star chart's permanent upgrades, and refund them any time.
• Co-op for 2 to 4 players: every pilot runs a station around a shared home world. Research is shared; ore and crystal are not, so plan who builds what. Stars won together count for everyone.
SIEGE
• A map of linked circles with a main base at each end. Ships warp one circle at a time, and a Mender warped to a derelict rebuilds it into your outpost.
• Every circle's planet pays its own mix of ore and crystal. Rocks keep coming at both sides, and after 15 minutes sudden death speeds them up.
• Destroy the enemy's main base to win. Play the computer on Easy, Normal or Hard, or friends online, one on one or two on two, with the computer taking any empty seat.
PLAY TOGETHER
• Host from any level or siege map, invite friends with a link or a four-letter code, or join an open room.
• Everyone taps Ready, the host starts, and the room stays together for the next game.
ITEMS
• Wins pay cores, and so does Siege. Spend them mid-fight in the campaign, solo or in co-op, on six one-shot powers: a Strike missile, Stasis, Repair, Deep Freeze, an Ore Drop and the Nova that wipes the field.
• Lost your station in a solo level on Normal? Take a second chance and fight on.
THE LOOK
Clean vector lines on deep space, a green terminal HUD and one neon colour per ship class.
Free to play. Ads play only when you tap for one: a second chance, double cores after a win, or free cores. One optional purchase, Double Cores Forever: every win pays double cores, and second chances and free cores need no ad. Optional cosmetic packs change your trim, warp trail and base. No account needed. The campaign and Siege against the computer play offline; co-op and online Siege need an internet connection.
Recent changes:
Siege has fog of war: you see your circles and one jump past them. Farther out, circles show how they last looked.
New TECH tab on your stations: ANTI-WARP stops warps in or out of a circle, SCAN sees through the fog, OVERDRIVE speeds up your ships' fire.
The computer plays by the same fog and uses tech too.
The screen now keeps clear of rounded corners and camera cutouts.
Online siege needs this version.
