Astronomy Observing Log

Keep a personal astronomy observing log on your device.

Record the date, target, equipment, observing site, seeing, transparency and notes for each session. Search your history by target, equipment, location or date. Long-press an observation to delete it.

Track your progress through all 110 Messier objects using the built-in checklist. Search by M-number, object name, type or constellation abbreviation. Object identifiers and your existing observations stay unchanged when you change language.

Use red light mode for a dark red nighttime interface. Export your observations as CSV through the system share sheet to create your own backup.

Choose System default or one of 17 languages from Settings in the upper-right corner. Send feedback using a short Tally form in your selected language. The form includes basic app and device diagnostics, not your observations, notes or observing locations.

No account is required. Logging and the Messier checklist work offline. The app contains ads and uses Google services for ads and anonymous usage analytics. Ads and feedback need an internet connection. App data may be included in your device system backup according to your settings.

Recent changes:
Added 17 app languages with a language selector in Settings. Feedback now opens a matching Tally form with basic app diagnostics. Existing observations, Messier progress, red light mode and CSV export are preserved.
