See https://conversations.im/omemo/. * OMEMO messaging in chat/multi-user chat sessions, with online/offline clients. * SSL Certificate authentication, DNSSEC and DANE Security for enhanced secure Connection Establishment. * Support TTS and speech recognition with enable option per chat session. * Support Languages Translation for sent/received messages in chat/multi-user chat sessions. * Language Translation server may use aTalk default or user defined URL. * Media video call with SDES, DTLS SRTP, and ZRTP crypto algorithms, with SHA-2 384, 256bit ciphers encryptions. * Media call setup is compatible with XEP-0353: Jingle Message Initiation, or XEP-0167: Jingle RTP Sessions protocol. * Support call transfer, and call waiting, hold or answer second incoming call. * Implement Jabber VoIP-PBX gateway Telephony, allowing PBX phone call via service gateway. * Message Archive Management, and Message Carbons synchronizing chat history across all instances of the account. * Retract of sent messages, and Last message correction in chat/multi-user chat sessions. * Support XEP-0070: Verifying HTTP Requests via XMPP. * Support XEP-0048: Bookmarks for multi-user chatroom. * Support XEP-0191: Blocking Command to block messages from nuisance contacts and domains. * Support both XEP-0153: vCard-Based Avatar, and XEP-0084: User Avatar protocols. * Update user avatar with integrated photo editor, zooming and cropping with ease. * GPS-Location as standalone tool, send locations to buddy for real-time tracking or playback animation. * A 360° street view of your current location use for self-guided tour. The street view tracks and follows your direction of sight. * Stream Management and mobile network ping interval, and self-tune optimization. * Secured file sharing via HttpFileUpload, or Jingle Encrypted Transport (JET). * Fault-tolerance file transfer algorithm, via HttpFileUpload, fallback to Jingle File Transfer, and Legacy In-Band/SOCK5 Bytestreams protocols. * Support Stickers, Bitmoji and Emoji rich contents sending. * Auto accept file transfer with max file size option. * User selectable option for heads-up notification, and user defined quiet hours. * Support share, quote and forward messages, and media with previews prior to sending. * Support media player with functions: Play, Pause, Resume, Stop and Seek. * Support unread message badges in contact and chatroom list views. * Multi-language UI support (Arabic, Indonesian, Chinese, English, Finnish, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Slovak and Spanish).

This is the only Android XMPP client I have evaluated that actually implements most of the things one would use XMPP for (secure text, reasonably secure file transfer, group chat, voice conference, video conference). All the others missed on one or more points (some don't provide for encrypted text; some actually place transferred files on servers with URLs; some require account on author's servers and some require being logged into those servers to function correctly.) Rough edges but given the above, well worth working with Cheng to smooth them out! I recommend this XMPP client, but none of the others due to their serious functional deficiencies!

This program is wonderful, but it needs more improvement for video calls and camera setting in vertical mode, the connection between this program and other xmpp programs like jitsi desktop is perfect, I hope you improve this program in next versions, thank u so much👍👍👍

Great basic client. Does the things! The no-frills setup was great for getting warmed back up to xmpp settings and procedures. People coming from bigger clients may miss some conversation-library style niceties, or theme/visual customization options. Good basic function-forward app if you don't want any fluff, just clear control.

Thank you for making this great app. Among all the apps that I've tested this has got the greatest coverage for XMPP protocol. One request. I hope that devs can add support for news feed feature where the app users can create publically accessible posts. Like movie. The app already supports xep-0060 & xep-00163. Adding this functionality will transform the app from an IM client to a full-blown social network. Highly impressed with the efforts of atalk team. Keep up the good work.

Freezes at evey turn, fails to connect to servers and accounts that other clients have no trouble with

When trying to sign in it automatically tries (and fails) to create a new user, but the users are managed through my active directory. Since I don't get the option to simply log in with my existing user I can't use the app
