Description

Autmet puts the core of a professional scan tool in your pocket. Connect an OBD-II adapter, read the codes your car has already recorded, and get a plain-language answer: what it means, what likely caused it, and whether it's safe to keep driving.

■ Read and clear trouble codes
Read stored, pending and permanent trouble codes. Clear them and turn off the check engine light in one tap. Works on US vehicles from 1996, European petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004 — if it has an OBD-II port, it works.

■ 11,000+ trouble codes, 100,000+ explanations
Not a bare code-to-text lookup. Our database holds over 11,000 distinct trouble codes and more than 104,000 explanations across 62 brands — Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Peugeot, Renault, Porsche and more. The same P0301 can mean different things on different vehicles, so we index by brand, model, year and engine. You get the explanation for your car, not a generic template.

■ AI insight: causes and consequences, not just codes
Every code comes with a readable explanation of likely causes and the real risk of continuing to drive. Codes are grouped automatically by powertrain, chassis, body and network, so you see at a glance where the problem sits. Generate a full diagnostic report to save or send to your mechanic — walk in informed.

■ Live data
RPM, speed, coolant temperature, intake pressure, oxygen sensors, fuel trim and more, on customisable gauges and graphs. Switch metric/imperial in one tap (km/h ↔ mph, °C ↔ °F, kPa ↔ psi). The whole page refreshes together, so every value comes from the same moment.

■ Check emissions readiness before the test
Confirm every readiness monitor is set before you drive to the inspection station — and save yourself a wasted trip.

■ Freeze frame and Mode 6
A snapshot of exactly what the engine was doing when the fault occurred, plus on-board monitor results with test limits for oxygen sensors, catalyst and more — so you can tell "already failed" from "about to fail".

■ Vehicle info and multi-car garage
Reads your VIN automatically to identify the vehicle. Keep every car in the household in its own profile, each with its own diagnostic history.

■ Six languages
English, 简体中文, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano — the interface and all 100,000+ code explanations are fully localised, not partial machine output.

An ELM327-compatible OBD-II Bluetooth adapter (such as VEEPEAK), sold separately. Plug it into the port under your dashboard and pair.

Simple UI but poor UX Hardly any information is returned by the app and most of it is gibberish (special / extended ascii characters). The only fully legible text it returned was the VIN 🙄
