This is an excellent app for showing how to read and pronounce sounds written in IPA. Every consonant has an associated waveform diagram and animation of what all the parts of the mouth are doing.

I've been having trouble understanding the ipa chart, and then I found this app. I love that it includes little animations and explanations on how a sound is produced, as it helps a ton. It even gives great examples for tones. I'm a tad disappointed some sounds like clicks aren't included, but maybe in the future?

I teach speech, phonetics, and accents in undergraduate and graduate theater programs. This is by far the best application to help them learn their International Phonetic Alphabet from a kinesthetic standpoint.

This app seems like it has a lot of information which is great, but when I'm on the pages that pronounce each individual letter, it won't let me scroll down, so it cuts off a lot of the information! I'd love to see this fixed.

Badly designed. The articulatory diagram is very unrealistic. Also, the IPA memorization "game" doesn't work.
