Awwal: Prayer Lock for Salah

Awwal puts Allah before your screen.

When it's time for salah, Awwal locks the apps that pull you away — Instagram, TikTok,
YouTube, games, the browser, everything — and they stay locked until you pray. It's a
prayer lock built for Muslims, the gentle nudge to put down the phone and stand before
your Lord.

Most "prayer lock" apps are generic. Awwal is made for your deen: real salah times for
your location, the five daily prayers, and short reflections from the Quran and Sunnah
on the lock screen while you prepare to pray.

— BLOCK APPS UNTIL YOU PRAY —
• Every distracting app is locked during each prayer window, by default.
• Pray, then tap "I prayed" to unlock your phone for the rest of the waqt.
• Block by category or fine-tune app by app — keep maps, banking, or work apps open.
• Only essentials (phone, settings, clock) are never locked, so you're never stuck.

— ACCURATE PRAYER TIMES —
• Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha for your exact location via GPS.
• Multiple calculation methods (Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, ISNA,
Egyptian, and more) and Hanafi / Shafi'i madhab for the correct Asr.
• Prayer reminders / adhan notifications the moment each salah begins.

— STAY ON TRACK —
• See today's five prayers at a glance and mark each as prayed.
• Missed a salah? Awwal shows it, gently, so you can make it up.
• Watch your consistency build, one prayer at a time.

— A CALM, BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE —
• A clean, modern design made to feel peaceful, not preachy.
• Quran and dua reflections to soften the heart before salah.
• Light and dark themes.

— YOUR PRIVACY IS PROTECTED —
Awwal uses Android's Accessibility Service only to see WHICH app is in the foreground so
it can lock it during prayer. It never reads, records, or stores what's on your screen.
No account needed. Prayer times are calculated on your device.

Whether you call it salah, namaz, or prayer — Awwal helps you answer the adhan instead
of the notification. Reclaim your screen time, beat phone addiction, and build a prayer
habit that lasts.

Download Awwal — your prayer lock — and pray before you scroll.

May Allah accept your salah. 🤲
