Bürkert resistApp

Are you looking for a material resistant to an aggressive fluid?
The Bürkert resistApp helps you as an interactive chemical resistance chart to find compatible materials for a multitude of media. It simplifies the selection of suitable materials when using Bürkert products.

Features of the Bürkert resistApp:

• search for a fluid
• search for a material
• multiple search function for several fluids or materials simultaneously and in combination
• search for chemical formulas of fluids
• general information on permissible temperatures

All data in the Bürkert resistApp is available offline. Thus, it is always usable and close to hand.

The Bürkert resistApp includes 454 fluids as well as the following materials:

Ethylene propylene diene rubber - EPDM; Fluorine rubber - FKM; Nitrile rubber - NBR; Chloroprene rubber - CR; Perfluorinated elastomers - FFKM; Stainless steel - 1.4401|1.4571; 1.4305|1.4105; Grey cast iron - GG; Cast steel - GS; Brass - MS; Red bronze - RG; Polyvinyl chlorid - PVC; Polypropylene - PP; Polyamide - PA; Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer - ETFE; Polytetrafluorethylene - PTFE; Polyvinylidenefluoride - PVDF; Polyphenylenesulfide - PPS; Polyetheretherketone - PEEK.

Terms of use:
The information provided here about the chemical resistance of materials does not consider the effects of all operating conditions and use cases. All information in the Bürkert resistApp is intended only as a guideline and no guarantees can be given. The company Bürkert Fluid Control Systems does not assume any liability for the selection made by the user. No claims on the basis of an incorrect advice can be made from the use of the Bürkert resistApp. Neither warranty claims, guarantee claims nor claims for damages can be derived. We also reserve the right to change, update or modify all information in the Bürkert resistApp without notice.

When dealing with aggressive fluids the user is continuously faced with the problem of finding compatible materials. Since corrosion performance is influenced by several factors, the information contained in the Bürkert resistApp should be treated only as a guide and is not necessarily valid for all operating conditions. Increased temperatures, higher concentrations, and the inadvertent ingress of water in originally pure chemicals can all lead to accelerated corrosion. Dependent on the purity of the fluid as well as the compounding and nature of vulcanization of the gasket materials, deviations can result which affect the suitability and durability of the plastics and elastomers. The information quoted in this Bürkert resistApp does not consider the effect of mechanical loading, which may also have a bearing on the material performance in the fluid.

All the information quoted in the Bürkert resistApp is based on industrial experience (for example "DECHEMA-Werkstoff-Tabelle", Germany or "DECHEMA Corrosion Handbook"), the data of our material and compound manufacturers and Bürkert's own stringent laboratory tests.
