Good game play, missing some features I have played a number of computers backgammon games for the last 20 years. Many did have rigged dice, but I see no indication of that in this game. Backgammon is a game of position. Put yourself in good position increases the odds of rolling numbers you need. What this game does need is the ability to play a match to a certain score. Otherwise, doubling means nothing. After all, why would I concede a game? I think a graphics overhaul is in need as well. Great apps have a slick ui. This doesn't.

Doesn't cheat! Only grippe I have with this game is the graphics that aren't super nice! Doesn't crash, dosent bug, dosent lock up it's a decent game. It's good for what it is.

One problem The dice rolls feel rigged (are the dice rolls of the two players generated independently?) but maybe I just need more practice. However, there's one problem. The program frequently messes up the position of my stones in the home zone, especially in the final phase. Usually happens when I roll a double of a greater value. I move in two of my stones from far outside, with double moves, then it indicates I have one more move left. That's when reality gets in conflict with what's on the screen. Luckily, it can be fixed with the help ("?") Button. Still, it's an annoying bug. Also, when there's no move available, it would be nice if that message didn't cover the dice. I want to see the dice at all times. Thanks ---------- Update, thanks for reply of 2/5/15. I'm not saying the dice are rigged, they just feel rigged, especially when I'm losing. But hey, we may have just found the problem. The dice should indeed know whom they are rolling for. That is, there should be two, separately initialized pseudo-random generators in the app, one for each player. As they are not really random, and the sequence of generated numbers is "uniformly distributed", there is a chance of patterns emerging...

Expert level is fixed Game was pretty level until I got to the highest level. Whenever you leave a piece exposed, the comp gets that roll. Then it gets exactly the rolls to box you in until most of their chips are in, and when you do get out, you always roll 3's, just to make sure you lose. Too predictable. I'm removing it soon as this is posted.

Dice rigged The recent update to this app has clearly rigged dice on the expert level. The prior version was admittedly too easy, and I guess this is an attempt to address that problem, but when the dice work against you 90% of the time the game becomes ridiculous. A better solution would be to improve the computer's play. Some numbers: before update I won on expert about 50% of the time, since update, I've played about 30 games with 0 wins. Even games clearly going to me (rare in new version) were turned by dice.

When you put on expert it keeps on giving you terrible roles in every role it rolls the perfect number
