BalusterPro makes the chore of calculating spacing of handrail balusters a quick and elementary task. It can also be used for any job requiring equal spacing between boards or slats. Use for picket fences, bench/chair backs,decking or column flutes.
-Flat and Stair Runs -Tapered Balusters -Inch or Metric
To use, enter the run length and baluster width and then slide the 'Balusters Needed' slider until 'Spacing Between Balusters' reaches a desired value (such as meeting code requirements). The number of balusters needed is displayed above the slider.

App is limited to stair angles of between 35 and 40 for some reason, so was unable to calculate spindles on a recent stair refurbishment of 45 degrees. Update: Developer pointed out default angles can be changed in preferences "Thank you" some more sensible defaults might be good though.

Time saver Exponentially faster than doing it on my construction pro. Always dead on accurate and I don't know why you would need more than 8' anyway, at least not in any state I'm licensed to build in.

App is only runs in inches you can't change it to millimeters, so you end up needing to convert it yourself, so it takes longer but works fine if you work in inches. Would give 5* if they added the option to change system.

Restricted to only small baluster The iPhone version of this app doesn't restrict you from sizing. If you fix this I'll change my rating to 5 stars.

Not as good as it is on ios. I've been using this app for over 2 years now and love it, but now that I'm on an android device it's just not the same. I really need this app to allow for lower and higher measurements. Also need the baluster width to be higher as well since I use this app to layout newel posts. I just input the number and width of the newels as if they balusters. Also, please have the option for speaking the measurements like you do in ios, it's extremely helpful to be able to just listen to the numbers being called out.

Htc g2 Sucks out of the many times I used it, was maybe accurate twice. And won't go over an 8 ft. Span, don't recommend anyone waste their money
