I love the barbarian cooking games by Gatehouse! It's in line with their other time management games which is what they're particularly good at. Especially like that I can now play quite a few of them to completion by watching ads.

I've played more ads than I've played the game. Literally. And there's no choice, you finish a level, you get 2 ads. You start a level you get 2 ads. No matter how good the game is, this is too gross. The only way to get rid of the ads is to sign on to their subscription service. Not even a one-off payment. Don't bother, there are better games out there.

Read in reviews you could play the entire game without paying as long as you watched Ads. Haven't played for a while, and now it's forcing me to pay to continue playing. Uninstalling.

I used to enjoy these games immensely in 2020 but after redownloading it seems they've also fallen prey to the ad after each level disease that infects every game I have bothered to try recently. The story and game play are still fantastic, but I won't be recommending these anymore due to the subscription model implemented.
