Description

Barred crosswords are similar to traditional crosswords, but they use black lines instead of black squares to separate the words.

Advantages of barred crosswords are:

• More words in the grid
• Larger number of cross-overs for the words
• You do not lose half the screen with black squares

• Each new game is created by the app automatically. Therefore you can play an unlimited number of crosswords!!
• Very configurable game generator. You decide the grid size, difficulty and many other things

★★☆☆☆ Update? What happened to my fav crossword? I updated and the whole thing changed from letter by letter to a crossword puzzle with q & a style. Uninstalling

★★☆☆☆ Way too intrusive adverts Thing itself is ok. But way too many video adverts with sound (and always a different place to cancel and usually requiring several clicks to actually cancel). Uninstalled.

★★☆☆☆ Hate the audio with the ads The occasional ads are tolerable but the accompanying audio is definitely not! After playing a game in a quiet place (library, a bus, a doctor's waiting room etc.) the sudden loud music means that you miss the advert completely because it is a mad scramble to kill the app or turn the volume to zero. Using this app in a quiet place risks the user becoming a social pariah.

★★☆☆☆ Utterly misleading This game is misleading. It suggests it's an English crossword. So far it's full of stupid things like American abreviations for states and other American spelt words ( these differ to English spellings ) copious amounts of Roman numerals, different words in French and German, any one number of periodic table abreviations and misleading clues unless you happen to be fluent in American....I thought it was going to be English??
