How many times have you gone to your child's or grandchild's baseball game only to find that the scoreboard was not working? You try to keep track of the inning and scores in your head, but end up losing track. You ask around the stands, but the number of innings and scores do not match from spectator to spectator.
Does this sound familiar? Well, here is an app that helps you keep track of the score, innings, balls, strikes, and outs. Just tap the 'ADD' button to increase the innings or scores by one. Tap the 'SUB' button to decrease the innings or scores by one.
Tap the 'BALL' button every time a BALL is pitched. Each time you tap the button, a circular indicator under the 'BALLS' heading will turn green. Tapping the button 4 times will reset the indicators back to the color white. Tap the 'STRIKE' button every time a STRIKE is pitched. Each time you tap the button, a circular indicator under the 'STRIKES' heading will turn yellow. Tapping the button 3 times will reset the indicators back to the color white. Tap the 'OUT' button every time a player is called out. Each time you tap the button, a circular indicator under 'OUTS' heading will turn red. Tapping the button 3 times will reset the indicators back to the color white and increment the inning count by 1/2 an inning. To reset the count for a batter at any time, tap the 'RESET COUNT' button. The indicators under the headings 'BALLS' and 'STRIKES' will turn white. To reset the game, tap the 'RESET GAME' button. A confirmation message will appear. Tap 'YES' to continue with the game reset or tap 'NO' to cancel.
You can also create notes about the game or players on a 'Notes' page. Access the 'Notes' page by tapping 'Notes' in the drop down menu found in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You can add a note by tapping 'Add A Note' in the drop down menu found in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Then tap the screen to begin typing your note. Tap the return button to return to your list of notes. You can edit a note by tapping it. A long tap on a note will display a message that allows you to delete the note. Tap 'YES' to continue with deleting the note. Tap 'NO' to cancel. Tap the return button, again, to return to the score board.
