A simple home screen widget that displays the current battery charge in a literal way instead of a meter. A small text will also be displayed if the phone is charging. 4 Sizes are available: 4x1, 2x1, 1x1 and 1x1 with numbers.
Motorola Users: Motorola devices (at least the Milestone) only reports its level every 10%, so it can't get more accurate for you than that I'm afraid.

Had to lower rating Had given this 5 stars before on my gingerbread phone. But on my Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.1, the widget showing the numbers doesn't work properly.

Doesn't work well on ICS or Jb Love using this from my old gingerbread phone. like other reviewers have said this apparently hasn't been updated for ice cream sandwich or jelly bean. I'm using a galaxy Nexus and the widget ---especially with the numbers--- doesn't work at all. Please fix it I guess this is what they mean by Android fragmentation problem. I guess the iPhone is looking better everyday
