By Asima Bibi, from Google Play“Win is tap arcade, Color Switch obstacles spin faster as you”
Description by Asima Bibi Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Early obstacles are slow enough that the matching color segment is visible for a substantial portion of its rotation cycle. Timing a tap to use that window is manageable and forgiving.
As wheels speed up, the same window becomes a smaller fraction of the rotation cycle, at high speeds, the matching segment flashes past so quickly that a tap must be near-simultaneous with recognition.
The speed escalation has no ceiling, it continues as long as your run continues. The highest-speed obstacles require an anticipatory tap, not a reactive one, to pass safely.
Color Switch's speed escalation mirrors Piano Tiles' pattern but through a different mechanic. Both reward practiced timing and punish hesitation. Offline, 60fps, no account.
