With so many cool Android apps, Better Open With saves you the hassle of having to choose only one default app handler when you click a filetype, and without having to choose between "only once" and "always"!
Created to mimic Android's default "Complete action using" dialog, Better Open With shows you a visually similar popup screen when you choose to open a link, an image, a PDF or any other filetype - listing all possible app handlers as you normally see.
What's different is that you only see the popup dialogue for a few seconds (5 seconds by default, but customizable), allowing you to choose an app handler if you want, after which it will automagically open it with your preferred app!
Unlike other similar apps, you just wait for your preferred app handler to launch (no clicks necessary), or choose a different app in the meantime. Just set Better Open With as your default handler for the filetypes you want, and let it work for you!

Better Open With is handy if:
• you switch between browsers, but usually have one preferred app;

Great little app! Install this if you want to continue to choose which browser you want to open a link with. Android 14 stripped away that ability and makes you set a default browser. Set this app as the default "browser" and you'll be presented with a list of your browsers to open different links. If I'm not sure about a link, I open it with DuckDuckGo. There's some I open with Brave; they're semi-open with Chrome.

Only reason I installed this was to open twitter links from Discord in Twitter app and not some useless "default browser". Twitter app does not appear as an option to open those links, only the same options for "web browsers" that my phone gives me without the need for an additional link sorting app in between.

Ok for choosing a browser but rarely presents an actual app choice. Once in a while it'll throw Ticketmaster on the list for who knows why, but the vast majority of the time it's a choice between 2 browsers. I never see Twitter, Reddit, Google photos, etc

As far as I can tell, the reddit feature straight up just does not work, and that's the only reason I installed this app for in the first place. I tried every option I could think of including disabling and uninstalling the official reddit app, but links only ever open in the official app or in Chrome as the mobile site. Useless.
