I'm not understanding the one-star reviews especially because they're with not a reason. AI works fine, game isn't bad at all, the game takes skill and has a ruleset so that the game remains fair. This is traditional chess that makes you think more but in a very fun way. Strategy is involved, and every game is really different. Oh, and there are different board options to pick from and a leaderboard if you really want to test your skills! All in all, this game is addictive and awesome.

Chess has been around for a long, long time and the traditional 8x8 board has been a constant fixture throughout its history. Beyond Chess changes that with its ability to shift a square after moving a piece. This change in tactics results with a board transforming further away from its starting formation as the game progresses. Holes or rifts are formed limiting the mobility of power pieces such as the rook, bishop, and queen but beware of the knight and its ability to jump over them.
