Bhagavad Gita - Updesh Daily

Read and listen to the Bhagavad Gita, one verse at a time. Updesh brings all 18 chapters and 701 verses of the Gita to your phone: each Sanskrit shloka, its meaning in Hindi, English and 11 other languages, and a story-style explanation of what Krishna is telling Arjuna, with Sanskrit recitation you can follow verse by verse.

THE WHOLE GITA, IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Read every verse with the Sanskrit text and its meaning in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Change your reading language at any time; the Sanskrit stays beside it.

LISTEN TO SANSKRIT SHLOKAS
Hear the Sanskrit recitation of each shloka, one verse at a time or a whole chapter in one sitting. Download all the Sanskrit audio free to listen offline. With Premium, you can also download the recorded meanings, explanations and chapter overviews, one chapter at a time or all at once.

EVERY VERSE, TOLD AS A STORY
Each verse comes with an explanation written for today: the scene on the battlefield, what the verse means, and one Sanskrit word worth knowing. There are explanations for all 701 verses in English and Hindi, and an overview of each of the 18 chapters in all 13 languages. The explanation of verse 1.1 and the chapter 1 overview are open to everyone; the rest are part of Updesh Premium.

HEAR THE MEANING IN YOUR LANGUAGE
With Premium, a recorded narrator reads the meaning of every verse in all 13 languages, straight after the Sanskrit. Without Premium, your phone's own voice can read the meaning aloud.

A VERSE FOR EACH DAY
Start the day with a Bhagavad Gita verse, with a reminder at the time you choose and a home-screen widget that shows the verse. Save the verses you want to return to, and pick up where you left off: Updesh keeps your reading history.

A PRIVATE REFLECTION JOURNAL
Write down what a verse means to you. Your reflections, saved verses and reading history stay on your phone, and there is no account to create.

READ OFFLINE
The complete Bhagavad Gita text, in all 13 languages, is inside the app, so you can read without a connection. The Sanskrit audio can be downloaded free, and with Premium the recorded narration too.

ONE PURCHASE, NOTHING MORE
Updesh Premium is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and there are no ads anywhere in the app.
