This is a great app (probably the best one) for navigation in The Nederland. It provides much more valuable information than the paper version of the ANWB waterkaart. For maximum benefit I recommend the use of a tablet, rather than a smartphone, because the larger screen area provides for the better overview. The most valuable feature is the indication of one's own position within the map, which is made possible by means of the location services of the tablet or smartphone. Because I travel frequently to the Nederland for boating vacation, I decided for a yearly subscription.

Fantastic app for sailing or boating in the Netherlands and hopefully soon Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark - it provides all information like bridge opening times, issues, overview, special regulations - one stop map - only thing I use - one minor thing is name in the Netherlands is Waterkaarten app and when you have English android app setting is hard to find...

Used to be an ok app when one could get a single day subscription. Now, the minimum is one month. I can buy a paper map for that amount and use Google Maps on the side for free.

Non-functional routing basically the map and info of almanac part 2. No live warnings of issues like blocked waterways etc.

The app starts with telling me it wants my location even when the app is not open and then tells me to create an account. Too much privacy concerns.

It won't find a single route from Bacilli Harbor to places I visit regularly on my boat. So it's basically useless. If I can't trust it in places I know, would never trust it in places that I don't.
