Every ride is CO₂ a car didn't burn. Biko is the bike ride GPS tracker that puts a number on it.

Record your route, speed, distance and climbing with GPS, then see exactly how much CO₂ you avoided by riding it instead of driving it. All of it stays on your phone: no account, no sign-up, no cloud.

THE CO₂ YOU DIDN'T BURN
• Every ride shows the CO₂ a car would have emitted covering the same route
• Running totals for today, this week, this month, this year or all time — watch the kilograms add up
• Climbing counts, not only distance: a car burns more fuel going uphill, and the estimate accounts for it
• Honest by design — always presented as an estimate against driving the same route, never a bare number pretending to be a measurement
• It's on your share card too, so a ride you post says what it saved

RECORD EVERY RIDE WITH GPS
• 1-second GPS tracking of your route, distance, speed and elevation
• Live bike speedometer: current, average and max speed
• Moving time as well as total time, so a coffee stop doesn't wreck your average
• Elevation gain and live climb gradient while you ride
• Manual pause and resume, then finish, review, name and save
• Keeps recording with the screen off and the phone in your pocket
• The ongoing notification shows how far you've got — tap it to jump back
• Crash-safe: if a ride is interrupted, Biko hands it back with the GPS track intact

SEE WHERE YOU WENT
• Route map for every ride on OpenStreetMap, with start and finish pins
• Interactive speed and elevation charts — drag along them and the map follows
• Flyover: an animated replay that draws your route as it plays, at 0.5x to 4x
• Ride history where every ride shows its own route shape
• Attach up to six photos to a ride, during it or when you save it
• Distance, time, elevation and ride count for any period, with a progression chart


BUILT FOR REAL RIDING
Commuting, road cycling, mountain biking, gravel, touring, e-bike rides and the ride to the shops. Metric or imperial, starting on the right one for where you live. Fifteen accent colours, light and dark to match your phone, and eight map styles — including a cycle map and a topographic one — switchable right on the map.

ACCURATE, NOT OPTIMISTIC
Bad GPS fixes are filtered out, not averaged in. Speed comes from the GPS receiver itself, so slow riding still counts towards your distance and moving time. Standing still adds no phantom distance and no phantom climbing — which is also what keeps the CO₂ figure honest.

WHAT BIKO DOESN'T DO (YET)
• No heart rate, cadence or power meter sensors
• No route planning or turn-by-turn navigation
• No leaderboards, followers or social feed
• No GPX import or export yet
• Pause is manual — there is no automatic pause when you stop
• English only for now

PERMISSIONS
• Location (precise, while in use) — to record your route, only during a ride
• Notifications — the ongoing ride notification, so recording is never invisible
• Camera / photos — optional, only if you attach a photo
• Internet — only to load map tiles; your rides are never uploaded
