Setup not trivial, but finally works like a gem I searched very long to sync my different cals (work, private, birthdays) without gifting my data to google, microsoft or apple. Finally, I found that Birdie sync can solve all my problems. Had some trouble with the setup because I didn't follow the installation instruction 1 by 1. Support helped me out immediately. Now I sync two cals, the birthdays (from thunder birthday addon) plus my contacts with TB. Seamlessly. I can even sync in parallel an additional Google cal of my Univ. Thank you for this great app!

Excellent I've used Birdie Sync since I still had my Windows phone. I only bought an Android phone when Birdie Sync announced they're working on synchronization with Android and I went for a Motorola Defy. Motoblur makes synchronization an almost impossible task. The own software of Motorola manages to lose birthday dates and photos of contacts. The people at Birdie Sync made everything possible for the synchronization work perfectly. Their support is simply great. If you didn't use the software yet just go for it.

Over syncing Great program. However, it is syncing every time I hang up a phone call and every time I send a text. I only sync calendar and contacts. Why is it syncing so often when I have it set to do so only every 4 hours? I believe this is also killing battery life.

Good. Allows me to sync my Thunderbird address book with my Android contacts without Google getting them. Requires no excess permissions. Worth the money.

Crashes Windows 7 64bt Used it to sync a Droid Razr with Thunderbird. It did work for a bit, but then my Windows 7 64bt computer would just lock up. Fortunately I set a system restore point before I installed. Rolled back to pre-BirdieSync and my computer was fine. Downloaded My Phone Explorer (which is donation based) and that one works great for me.

Absolutely unimpressed Sync setup was a little cumbersome, especially requiring user to specify location of Thunderbird executable on desktop. The worst thing was ending up with hundreds of (No title) calendar events. A real shame, since it seems like the app is otherwise an excellent piece of work.
