Description by Thomas Künneth (from Google Play)

TKBirthdayReminder is a beautiful birthday list. Once a day you receive a notification that reminds you about upcoming birthdays. You can place a widget on your home screen, too.

The birthday dates are stored in your Google Contacts. So there is no need to backup an app-specific birthday list. On a new device just reinstall the app and - voila.

The app is free of charge, contains no ads, does not track you, and does not collect your data. It looks great on foldables and tablets. And it is open source, which means that everyone can have a look at its source code.

Recent changes:
- Bugfix: setting a birthday after picking a contact could fail for some contacts
- Bugfix: the birthday editor could forget a newly picked contact if the app was restarted
- Faster app startup
- Clarified the privacy policy
- Library and tools upgrades

Comments on Birthday reminder for Android

★★★★★ Tim · Feb 23, 2011

This is the only birthday app the works right on my epic 4g. And it is awesome.

★★★★★ Florian · May 27, 2012

Works just like expected Shows all dates and times in the formats set in ICS, is very small and just does what I expect, nothing more and nothing less ...

★★★★★ Gail · Jul 31, 2011

This is a nice app, I love it, and it is very easy to use. Works from contacts and you can add birthdays. Also, you can touch photo to change the date.

★★★★☆ A Google User · Feb 13, 2012

Not bad Very handy application but not very configurable. It doesn't even show dates in your default format, ie all dates are shown in American mm/dd/yy. More options would be a big improvement, but still this is a good little app.

★☆☆☆☆ Dennis · May 30, 2011

Does not show right date. Ebobirthday much better (has fb syncing)

★☆☆☆☆ Franjo · Jun 19, 2011

Randomly loses some birthdates. They still appear under the contacts, but not in the program.

★★☆☆☆ Cristian Ionescu · Apr 24, 2024

After a restart of the device in an event day, the notification for that day in the notification bar, doesn't show up anymore.

★★☆☆☆ Inka · Jan 15, 2011

Can't add birthday through the app, had to insert it manually by adding notes to the contact. Pls fix, galaxy spica.

★☆☆☆☆ Kortney · Aug 16, 2011

Uninstalled. U have to have a separate contact for every person, I don't want my 1yr old niece as a separate contact just to list het b-day...?

★☆☆☆☆ Gary · Mar 3, 2011

It didn't show all contacts birthdays! Uninstall
