Andrew James Lucas I think that this game, could possibly be a new beginning for the rebirth of 8 bit shoot-em up's, its very well programmed, great movement, and a smooth, somewhat tricky sometimes, but well balanced for a good time! I think if you like NES, You Will Enjoy This Game!

If you've ever wanted to slap on a "Kill Suit", save the oppressed from the Fascistic clutches of a rainbow clad, ginger headed Hitler and his mutant SS forces while a pushy kid tells you to "Hurry Up!" - then BIT REBEL Wants You! A top down-ish dystopian sci-fi actioner with great retro graphic and interesting controls (easy once you get used to them - tap to move where you wish to go, hold to target and shoot enemies; with a little practice, you'll be running and gunning with ease). There's a handful of useful weapons (a boomerang{!}, a few guns, Molotov cocktails, and - no joke - exploding attack birds) that you amass pretty quickly - which is good as you lose them all (except the boomerang) when you die. At the time of this review, there's only one chapter (level) playable (escaping the internment camp), hopefully the devs give us the next one soon! With a tastefully tasteless theme (Futuristic Rainbow Nazis!), Bit Rebel will have you wasting your precious time and not giving a damn!

Could be better. I am a huge fan of the old classic games. But, this is about impossible to control or see. If you can tweak it better like Hotline Miami, then it will be a five star game.
