Black Screen: Mobile & TV

⚫ Black Screen turns your whole screen black with a single tap on the app icon - on your phone and on your Google TV or Android TV. Perfect when you cast to a TV, listen to music or podcasts, or simply want a dark display without switching the device off. No ads, no accounts, no permissions, no internet.

🔋 WHY USE IT
- On OLED screens black pixels are switched off, so the display uses much less power
- Hides everything on the screen: status bar and navigation bar are hidden too
- On phones the brightness is set to the minimum while the black screen is on
- The screen stays on, so audio, casting and other apps keep running

📱 ON YOUR PHONE: CHOOSE HOW TO LEAVE THE BLACK SCREEN
- Tap anywhere (default): a single touch ends it. Ideal for a phone on a stand
- Tap 3 times: three quick taps are needed, so accidental touches in a pocket or bag do nothing
- Power button only: touches are ignored; press the power button to turn the screen off
In every mode the power button turns the screen off and ends the black screen, so the next time you switch the phone on, the normal lock screen appears.
You can change the mode at any time: long-press the app icon and choose Settings.

📺 ON GOOGLE TV AND ANDROID TV
Open Black Screen from your apps row and the whole TV screen goes black. Press any button on the remote to leave - that is all, there are no menus or settings to deal with.

✨ FEATURES
- 👆 One tap (or one click on a TV) from the launcher, no menus in the way
- 📌 Long-press the phone app icon for shortcuts: Settings and More apps
- 💬 Optional short hint on how to leave when the screen turns black (phone)
- 🎨 7 themes (system, light, dark, ocean, sepia, forest, AMOLED)
- 🌍 8 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Hungarian
- 🪶 Tiny, fast, no background activity

💡 GOOD TO KNOW
- The first time you open the app on a phone, the settings page is shown so you can pick your preferred way to leave the black screen. After that, tapping the icon goes straight to black. To open the settings again, long-press the app icon and choose Settings.
- The home gesture or the Home button also leaves the app, as with any other app.
- The black screen is not a lock: it does not replace your PIN, pattern or fingerprint.

🛡️ PRIVACY
Black Screen needs no permissions, contains no ads and does not collect or send any data. It works fully offline.
