BlackGentry is a members-only dating app designed for ambitious and intentional singles.
We are a classy community of singles who have themselves together and have high standards. Every profile is reviewed by the membership committee before being accepted. This way you get to be part of a group of quality singles who want something real.
Prospective members can download the app and submit an application. Once submitted, applications are placed on a waitlist and are reviewed by the membership committee. The membership committee looks for quality and detailed profiles with clear images. An applicant’s status can change from waitlist to accepted at any time. Any profile that does not represent these values are rejected and removed.
Our community values are kindness, respect, integrity and growth. Our mission is to provide an online community that makes it easier for Black singles to establish healthier connections and relationships.
All users can chat with their matches for free and also send a limited number of Direct Messages per day (messages to people you haven’t matched with yet). Users can choose to subscribe to Deluxe or VIP to enable more features.
BlackGentry Deluxe is an auto-renewable subscription service provided within the app. Activate BlackGentry Deluxe and get access to send unlimited likes, rewind profiles, hide ads, send unlimited Direct Messages, see who likes you, change locations, and see Second Chance.
BlackGentry VIP is an auto-renewable subscription service provided within the app. Activate BlackGentry VIP and you will get all the features of Deluxe (send unlimited likes, rewind profiles, hide ads, send unlimited direct messages, see who likes you, change locations, see Second Chance) PLUS ability to enable incognito mode and access Gentry Lounge.
Your subscription will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew (at the duration selected) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Current subscription may not be cancelled during the active subscription period; however, you can manage your subscription to a higher plan and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.
Subscriptions & purchases are also forfeited if you delete your account. All prices are in U.S Dollars and may vary in other countries other than the U.S. Prices are subject to change without notice.

This dating app advertises to be free, but it is not. Yes, you can view the prospects, you can 🤍 or X, and you can "reveal" 1 like every 24 hours. The likes you receive are blurred, so your choice to reveal is completely random unless you pay for membership.

Love the app. Lots of Classy singles and professionals. I initially saw the ad on TikTok two months ago and since then I've met 3 great guys and been on many dates. I believe one of the guys is the one but fingers crossed. I appreciate Black Gentry and the hard work they put into making the platform classier than other apps. My only suggestion is to add videos to the profiles but all in all, it has helped my dating life.

You have to pay to view the people who like you. Other apps on for this for free. It's also made me recreate my profile a few times. I'm not sure what the community is like, because the fee is $30!! And that is just insane to me. THEN THEY BAN ME ON THE APP BC I SPOKE MY MIND. THEY SAID I VIOLATED TERMS OF SERVICE. GUESS It's WRONG TO GIVE YOUR OPINION. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

You cannot find matches freely, you have to pay to find your matches for the most part and its so obvious that its by design. Having over 20 likes and not able to freely swipe and find one of them for over a week is ridiculous. Uninstalled, blk much better
