Description by RadStorm Technologies(from Google Play)
Block Guard stops spam calls, robocalls and scam texts before they reach you, and keeps your personal data on your phone.
Scammers fake local numbers, send fake delivery and bank texts, and call back again and again. Block Guard screens every call and text on your device, blocks the junk, and lets the people you know get through.
STOP SPAM CALLS AND ROBOCALLS • Blocks known spam numbers using a community spam list that updates automatically • Blocks private, hidden and unknown callers if you choose • Neighbor spoofing protection catches scammers who fake your area code (Premium) • Blocks calls by area code, country or number prefix (Premium) • Stops call storms from robocallers that keep redialing (Premium) • Reject or silence blocked calls, your choice
BLOCK SPAM TEXTS AND SCAM MESSAGES • A complete SMS and MMS messaging app with a clean inbox • Block texts by keyword, sender or number • Blocks texts from known spam numbers automatically • Blocked texts go to their own list, so you can check them anytime
YOU STAY IN CONTROL • One block list and one allow list for both calls and texts • Family, work and your doctor always get through • Quiet hours and schedules: block more at night, less during the day • See the reason every call or text was blocked • Back up and restore your lists and settings
PROTECT A PARENT OR GRANDPARENT Older adults are the number one target of phone scams. Set up Block Guard once on a parent's phone, add the family to the allow list, and it quietly blocks scam calls and scam texts in the background.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Calls and texts are checked on your phone, not on our servers • Block Guard does not upload your contacts, call history or messages • No account or sign-up needed
FREE AND PREMIUM The core spam call blocker and text blocker are free: your block list, allow list, known spam blocking, private and unknown caller blocking, and keyword text blocking. Premium adds neighbor spoofing protection, area code and country blocking, call storm protection, smart on-device call scoring, and removes ads.
GOOD TO KNOW To block and filter texts, Block Guard needs to be your default SMS app. Call blocking uses Android's call screening. How a blocked call ends (rejected, silenced or sent to voicemail) can depend on your carrier, phone and Android version.
Recent changes: π₯ Block Guard is now FREE to start! Get basic call, text, and spam protection with ads, or try Premium with a 14-day free trial for the full ad-free experience.
What's New: π On-device AI spam detection π‘οΈ Hardened call blocking and improved SMS/MMS reliability π« Free blocking of thousands of known spammers βοΈ Privacy updates and stability fixes

Works well I'm impressed but 2 things there's no zero on dialer, and I'd like a notification dot on icon if I miss a call

This works really well. Blocked a complete area code that spams every day. A couple get through occasionally but not a big deal. Blocks many others spam calls too. Thanks!

Absolutely love that I can allow the calls to voicemail but automatically stop the call from ringing or buzzing me, I love wasting the scammers time letting it ring and leaving a voicemail

You have one of the best and most comprehensive phone call blocking apps that ive seen, and I have tried may. I like that there are many different options to block and whitelist calls. The app has blocked all my spam calls. My support ticket was answered and fixed that same day

All I want is an app that doesn't allow spam to go to my voicemail. It has to be a high demand consumer product and yet no one seems to have made one. This one looked promising as it has an option where it SAYS the blocked number goes to a dial tone and not to VM. But I'm still getting a couple dozen spam calls every single week and have to delete them. I like that this one allows you to block area codes. But the AI bots just find a new one to use so .... pointless. I DID MAKE IT DEFAULT

I got this to filter text message spam, but it will not let me see messages without enabling the AI call screening role.

Paid for the app & it's not working & customer service did respond to me but problem wasn't solved, but they refunded my purchase but I caution that if u do contact customer service if u don't respond in the timely manner they want they will lose patience with u& refund & uninstall the app from your phone, but they will respond and try to help fix the matter app worked great until the update but my 1 star still applies update: customer service has been sending horrible and harassing emails to me

Has potential but slow and buggy on s25. Synced messages and all just remained in one place (including those already identified as spam by Google's messages). Group messages were separated. Still looking for a product that exceeds Google's own Messages app....
