Comments on Bloom - Conquer Screen Time for Android
★★★★☆Zoe Terhune· May 8, 2026
Knocking my review down a star because to manually START a focus session/block apps, you need to tap the card. I think that's kind of silly! Let me start it wherever/whenever, you've accidentally added a physical barrier to the GOOD habit of blocking distracting apps!
★★★★★Adam Gianforte· Apr 6, 2026
Bloom has saved me so much time since I got it 8 months ago and helped me focus like nothing else has. Having the physical card to tap is the perfect level of barrier for me to addicting apps. I can still zone out and scroll if I want to, but it's out of reach enough that I can focus when I need to.
★★★★★Jeremy Childs· May 9, 2026
Edit: The new update now allows Strict Mode on Pixels. Can no longer pause or uninstall the app. This completely fixes my former complaints, and the product now meets my expectations.

It was working great for months! Then my Samsung system had an update and bloom had an update, and it doesn't work anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, that has not fixed the issue. Right now the bloom app says that focus time is on and the phone is blocked, but I can open social media and YouTube. Until yesterday the issue was different. It was blocked all the time disrespecting the schedule. I had to manually unblock with the card. I preferred it that way vs now tho

Since the last update, it seems that Bloom doesn't block the apps in my time zone (I live in Australia), consequently, the schedules are useless, and it blocks at random hours. Please fix it ASAP.
