By Weenja, from Google Play“Eyes-free TV remote: Bluetooth for the TV, Wi-Fi for boxes. Needs Remote Core.”
Description by Weenja Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
IMPORTANT: install both apps. This app is the remote. The free companion app "Bluetooth TV Remote Core" keeps the Bluetooth link to your TV. Install Remote Core first, then this app.
The phone connects to the TV as a Bluetooth keyboard, so the TV does not need Wi-Fi or an app.
• Swipe anywhere for the arrows: one swipe = one step, with a tick
• Tap for OK; tap with two fingers or swipe in from the edge for Back
• Hold, then slide for Home, Input, Mute or Settings; lift for Play/Pause
• Hold, then twist your wrist to seek
• A different vibration for each action
• Volume keys control the TV, or your soundbar through HDMI-CEC
• Optional: an Android TV or Kodi box over Wi-Fi, with the same gestures
• Type and speak text into TV search boxes
• Works over the lock screen and on the Galaxy Flip cover screen
• Interactive tutorial and adjustable gestures
Why two apps: the TV remembers the pairing. Remote Core rarely changes, so updates of this app never break your pairing.
Tested with an LG webOS TV, a soundbar, and a box with Android TV and Kodi (CoreELEC). TVs with Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV are supported but not tested yet.
