One better rating apps I've used, needs more beers This is one of the better beer rating apps I've use. I like the flexibility of being able to give beers a 1/2 point ratings and change the rating up or down later. The strength of the app is the recommendations it makes based of my current beer ratings, it's the main reason I started using the app. That said the app needs more beers and more ratings for beers to be a 5 star app, I'm hoping that will come with time. There are occasional bugs like blank screens, search doesn't turn up a beer that is in the data base, and of course some beers not in the data base yet. I've added a couple myself and hope others do too, to strengthen the recommendations. Also the app doesn't seem to synch well with the gps, doesn't seem to know where I am sometimes and says no bars etc in the area when I know there are submitted locations nearby that turned up in the past

Location Function: Good Idea, Poor Implementation When I update BrewGene a few weeks ago I had one thing to say: Finally! The one feature I felt was lacking was the ability to *find* the great beers the app was recommending, or one from my cellar. OK, I thought - now the app is perfect. But the implementation of the search function is horrible. Horrible! Awful! Dreadful! Get the picture? Sometimes it returns an empty list, when I'm in the middle of downtown Boston. For those of you in other regions, there are plenty of pubs and bars in Boston! Sometimes it returns pubs nowhere near my location, or leaves out the one I'm sitting in. Sometimes it just spins and never returns. Please fix this and my rating goes to four stars. Add a description of each beer and it's a five star app!

IPhone app is much better. Make this like the iPhone app with beer buddy ability and I'll rate five stars.
