BUENAS Games - Two plates. One page.

BUENAS is a small arcade app with two games on it, designed to look like something that came off a riso press — flat ink, visible grain, plates slightly out of register. No accounts, no energy timers, nothing to unlock before the good part.

LATCH
You circle a printer's registration mark, and the instant you let go you fly off in a dead straight line. The trick is that you leave on the tangent, not toward the target, so you have to release about a quarter turn early — when your direction of travel lines up with the next mark rather than when the dot looks closest to it.

Tap again to catch the next mark. The dashed ring around it is your actual margin for error, drawn to scale, and it shrinks for the whole run: a quarter of a second of slack at the start, nearer a twentieth two minutes in. Waiting costs nothing but time, because the release angle comes round every revolution. Five lives, and a miss puts you back on the mark you were already orbiting.

WEAVE
A seven by seven grid of printed dots. Drag through touching dots of the same ink, lift, and the chain clears while the grid refills from the top.

Scoring is chain length squared, so a six is worth four times a three rather than twice. Long chains also hand moves back — six earns one, nine earns two, eleven earns three — and that refund is the only way a run goes long. Clear threes all game and you drain away one move at a time with nothing returned.

The board only gets harder when you clear, never while you think, so you can study it for as long as you like. A fourth ink arrives gradually rather than all at once. Runs can also end with moves still in hand, if no two touching dots anywhere share an ink.

HOW IT LOOKS
Fluorescent pink and yellow on deep indigo, with orange wherever the two plates overlap. Hard rules, flat colour, heavy paper grain, printer's crop marks and colour bars. No gradients and no glow anywhere in the app — a deliberate constraint, and the reason it doesn't look like everything else in this category.
