Button Mapper TV Quick Actions

🎯 WHAT IS BUTTON MAPPER TV QUICK ACTIONS?
Button Mapper TV Quick Actions is a FREE button remapper for Android TV and Google TV. Remap any remote control button — Home, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, the color keys or the numbers 0–9 — to open the app, TV launcher or system setting you actually use. No ads, no tracking, everything runs locally on your TV.

✅ MOST POPULAR USES
• Remap the HOME button to open a custom TV launcher — a minimal one like Projectivy, Monet, AT4K or Arc, or a luxury TV UI like Premium TV Launcher UI (PLUI) — instead of the stock home screen
• Turn the Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube or Disney+ button into a shortcut for SmartTube, an IPTV player, Kodi, Plex, Jellyfin or any installed app
• Map the number keys 0–9 to your favorite apps or to WiFi, Bluetooth, Sound and Display settings
• Give the unused color keys (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue) a real job
• Use Single Press, Double Press and Long Press on the same button for three different actions

🚀 HOW IT WORKS — 3 STEPS
1. Press a button on your remote — the app detects it
2. Choose the trigger: single tap, double tap or long press
3. Choose the action: open an app, open a system setting or run a navigation shortcut
Done. The mapping works immediately and survives reboots.

📺 WORKS WITH
Android TV 9+ and Google TV: Sony Bravia, Philips, TCL, Hisense, Xiaomi Mi Box and Mi TV Stick, Chromecast with Google TV, NVIDIA Shield, Mecool, Formuler, Zidoo and most Android TV boxes. Works with Bluetooth and infrared remotes, gamepads and air mice.

👵 DESIGNED FOR SENIORS, CAREGIVERS & ACCESSIBILITY
Modern remotes are confusing. A caregiver can pre-configure the TV so one big button opens the news channel, a video-call app or the favorite streaming app. Large high-contrast text, simple D-pad navigation (↑ ↓ ← → OK Back) and nothing to type.

🔒 ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
Button Mapper TV Quick Actions uses the Android Accessibility Service API to detect physical button presses on your remote and remap them to the actions you choose.
• We do NOT collect, store or share personal data, keystrokes or any sensitive information
• No data is transmitted to third parties — all processing happens locally on your device
• You can enable or disable the service at any time in Settings → Accessibility
• The service is used only for button remapping, never to read screen content

⚠️ SAFE USAGE
We recommend remapping the number and color keys first. System buttons (Home, Back) can be remapped too, but always keep one way to return to the home screen. A Start Wizard guides you through the Accessibility permission step by step.

💎 FREE & AD-FREE
• 100% free
• No ads, no tracking, no account
• Works offline
• Lightweight, no background battery drain

❓ FAQ
How do I change the Home button on Android TV?
Install Button Mapper TV Quick Actions, enable its Accessibility Service, then add a mapping: Button = Home, Trigger = Single Press, Action = Open App, Target = your launcher.

Can I remap the Netflix or Prime Video button?
Yes. The dedicated streaming buttons on most remotes can be remapped to any installed app such as SmartTube, an IPTV player or Kodi.

Does it work on Google TV / Chromecast with Google TV?
Yes. Google TV is Android TV 10+ under the hood.

Why does the app need the Accessibility permission?
It is the only Android API that lets an app see remote-button presses system-wide. Nothing else is read or stored.

My TV hides the Accessibility toggle — what now?
Some manufacturers lock it. The in-app guide shows how to enable it from your phone or PC.

Do I need root?
No. No root, no ADB required for normal use.

Make your Android TV remote simple again with Button Mapper TV Quick Actions.

Recent changes:
• Fixed: your mappings could silently stop working after the TV was switched off and on — the app now detects it and helps you switch the service back on
• Clearer accessibility status on the home screen and during setup
