After the last incident I got it to work about a week later and been using it since. Though now I run into a new problem Google messaging never used or wanted to use it but my phone is now say the default messaging system Samsung messager is getting discontinued and being replaced with Google messaging which is horrible with no organization/cataloging groups. Plus I found this application just does not work on Google messaging at least for me, it does not

I use Textra for texting, and your app works perfectly with it! One thing I would like to do is I have a few #'s that are blocked, yet this app still announces an incoming message from them. Is it possible to not announce blocked numbers?

*UPDATE FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW IN 2021* When opening the app now, "disable battery optimization" message pops up and won't go away no matter how many times I turn off or on battery optimization for the app. Is this app even getting updates? I've had this app for about four years and haven't had any issues or reason/need for an update until now (2025)

Doesn't announce names in my contacts on messaging. Does announce WhatsApp and income phone calls.

This caller announcer does not work properly. It does not announce the names of many of my contacts when I receive text messages from them. It only announces a very few of the names on my contacts. What is wrong? I have not received any app updates for this app since 2023.

Only get sms announcer working when I am near a wi fi6 router or the high speed access Packet is running. If 3g; 4g; or 5g is showing on my mobile data upload/download icon the software works fine. Can only give 2 stars as it is only doing half a job. It now only recognizes my contact list names. Although the screen shows the names of people not on my contact list, it does not announce them, whereas other apps have previously done so.
