Camera Pro Control is an app that lets you control your DSLR and other cameras to get the most out of your pictures. Download and share your creations in an easy way. Connect your camera via usb or wifi. You can even use your mobile hotspot if you are on the go.

This app will use foregroundservices in certain situations to keep the connection between phone and camera alive. You can run the app in background in these situations or turn the screen off. The service will continue until the task is done or the corresponding notification is dismissed. The following features use a foregroundservice: intervall captures, focus stacking, downloading files.

Works as specified, with my aging 5DM2 that has been abandoned by Canon. My primary use for this app is to facilitate more accurate focusing for astrophotography while the camera sits at an inconvenient tilt on the astro pier. This app does exactly that, and of course supports shutter release. Those are really my main use cases, and though I haven't tested the interferometer, I'm looking forward to ditching the kludgey controls of my handheld Wi-Fi interferometer. Decent UI. I am using the app with a nikon dslr with a Nokia 7 plus. I am taking photos of jewelry, and I am using the app for its focus bracketing capabilities. So far I am very pleased with the performance and very impressed with the aiding filters (focus peaking, clipping etc.) . One thing to note is that I had hard time to find a working otg cable. I would suggest if you have an usb type c device buy only usb c to usb 3.1 and not usb 2 as I tried 3 of them and noone worked...

I paid my $10 and downloaded the app. I have tried to use the app countless times, but it will not connect to my Canon 6d mark ii camera. I asked for support, but he just sent me a blanket statement of which I do not understand. It also appears from many reviews that he also answered the same question with the same blanket statement. Too bad the advertisement said the app is very versatile....but it does not connect to Wi-Fi.

Problems controlling Canon EOS R: - Focus stacking not working. Focus is not changed between exposures. (Auto and Manual focus work.) - Cannot adjust exposure compensation - Exposure bracketing limited to 3 exposures - Does not automatically shoot 3 bracketed exposures, must press shutter release 3 times - Prompts for password even when not needed - Lacks documentation - Developer unresponsive
