They've definitely put some work into the app, so I'm changing my rating. It's quite usable now, even pretty good. Obviously the desktop version is best, but for those times when you're away from your computer and need to write, this is a great app. I do highly recommend Campfire for all writers, especially writers who have to world build.

Edit: Thank you for not only adding keyboard support but allowing the screen to change from vertical to horizontal! It's a great app and, while I agree the web & desktop versions are better, this is great to use while out and about. How many times have you had an idea that you wanted to write down? This makes it easy and your quick ideas are stored with the rest of your work.

I love the app, as a beginner book writer it helps alot, I do wish there was a Factions tab as I am writing a medieval themed book, and a factions tab would be greatly helpful, over all I 100% recommend this app for new writers. And I thank the people behind the app for all the work they do with it.

I love the idea- but on my phone it's really slow, but I don't have a job sj I can't afford to buy the premium, so I can use it on my computer. I love it when I'm on my computer, but mobile sucks. I wish I didn't have to pay for the computer version.

At the very beginning of me using this, Campfire was great for organizing my thoughts and my plot. I decided to go ahead and transfer to my laptop, and discovered the hard way that the desktop version was way different from the phone version, to the point it deleted some of my work because of a new update. I was devastated because I lost most of my plot notes, and I now have to restart.

Incredibly glitchy interface. When you scroll, the page often jumps back to the top. When trying to edit text, the text cursor randomly jumps around, so you end up typing or deleting words from a different line (and there is no undo button!). Overall, it's fine for casual browsing but can't be used for any heavy-duty writing, editing, or working in general.

I thought this app would be a good way for me to work on my manuscript while out and away from my computer. I thought the team at Campfire had ACTUALLY addressed the issues which others had mentioned with it in years past. I was wrong. This app is entirely unusable. The autosave/sync feature interrupts every time I attempt to type anything without allowing me to even complete a word before re-syncing and reloading the manuscript. Forcing me to find where I was working again and try to restart.
