Description
Automobile Performance Math Calculator designed for the road racer, drag racer or car enthusiast.
For all of the calculations simply fill in the yellow boxes and touch 'Calculate'
The Horsepower Calculator will give HP from torque or torque from HP, HP with altitude change, Flywheel HP from Wheel HP, Wheel HP from Flywheel HP and Estimated Top Speed with Added HP.
The Dyno Correction Calculator will give SAE, MSA and STD correction factors and calculate corrected horsepower.
The Torque Calculator will give Drive Wheel Torque, Wheel Thrust, Acceleration and Weight Transfer.
The Drag Race Calculator estimates new 1/4 Mile ET & Trap Speed at new track and/or new weather conditions, 60 Feet time from 1/4 ET, 1/4 ET from 60 Feet, 1/8 ET from 1/4 ET, 1/4 ET from 1/8 ET, 1/8 Trap Speed from 1/4 Trap Speed and 1/4 Trap Speed from 1/8 Trap Speed. It will also estimate 1/4 Mile Elapsed Time and Trap Speed from horsepower and will derive horsepower from ET or Trap Speed. Weight transfer at launch is also calculated.
Enter wheel weights into the Corner Balance Calculator and it gives Cross Weight, Cross Weight%, Wheel Correction weights, Wedge and Bite. The Wheel Correction Weights shown in the white boxes tell you how much wheel weight change is needed to get a 50% Cross Weight. Road racers and street cars should shoot for a 50% (balanced) Cross Weight.
The Fuel Economy Calculator gives miles per gallon or kilometers per liter.
The Speedometer and Odometer Calculator will calculate their error rates.
The Conversions Calculator will convert both ways: Miles/Kilometers, Foot-Pounds/Inch-Pounds, Foot-Pounds/Newton-Meters, PSI/BAR.
The Weight Transfer Calculator will give Front-to-Rear and Lateral Weight Transfer.
The Skid Pad g Calculator will give Average Lateral g around a skid pad.
You can also calculate Brake Specific Fuel Consumption, Engine Air Capacity and estimate the size of a tire from it's sidewall markings.

I use this app all the time! It's quite useful to calculate estimated drag times based on weight & horsepower. There are loads of car math that this app can do.

Way cool App This is so cool Rob! One way it's useful for me is that to compete with my S2000 in the Porsche Owners Club I have to class my car based on power to weight ratio using SAE correction. The Dino operator mistakenly gave me a printout with STD correction. Now I can convert it!

Works very well The only thing I've found that's off is the flywheel HP from wheel HP calculation. For example if you put 80 in as whp and 20% drivetrain loss it gives you 96 flywheel HP while it should be 100.

Adding 200# to the curb weight the app is very accurate for most IC cars. More expensive German brands often show more hp than advertised, maybe to hide it from the Green Party as US hot cars' sis before 1973. EV s usually calculate much more than advertised, so may need revisions for EVs.

You may want to reconfigure the HP calculator. The HP calculator from ET and MPH tries to give Flywheel HP but without knowing the exact % of drivetrain loss that's an arbitrary number. 5 other online calculators show me 270HP at the tires, which is correct but this app shows 270 at the flywheel? I think not. What's even stranger. . . Your website shows the correct Wheel HP.

How can you calculate all the stuff, like Horsepower, without knowing the weight??
★☆☆☆☆Mark Wilson· Jun 27, 2022
Calculates CFM using the engine size in cm^3 instead of in^3. No option to change units. No GPS functions.

Major scaling bug Using a nexus 6 with Cyanogen with the default dpi. Unfortunately when I open this app, everything is so big it doesn't fit on the screen.
