★★☆☆☆ I am dismayed to see that the reports you have paid for expire and you have to pay again. Fine for an instant look. Dire if you wanted to keep a report. Obviously Car Vertical is not for those who wish to keep track of vehicles they own.

★★☆☆☆ Car vertical is both helpful and bad, it is helpful for trying to avoid scams and not so honest sellers but my experience with it showcases a bad side as well. Having verified my car on car vertical around 2 years ago the report looked good and clean as I expected but 2 years later car vertical updated their database with the car showing as "totaled", this happening way long before me buying it. I reached out to car vertical asking for the name of the institution where the damage was reported, so I can ask them directly and find out if the damage was real or is just an error on car vertical's side, but obviously they didn't want to share that information as well as saying that they are not taking any responsibility regarding the data they are publishing on their website. The problem with this is that now I can't sell my car and people think I'm a scammer when this might have happened or not, being just an error. Car vertical should take responsibility and verify the origin and the credibility of the data they publish because even if they are not the ones creating the data, they are the ones making it available to the public to read.
