Cascave

Design a firework shell break, fly it on a range and see 👀 it from the crowd.

Cascave is a workbench 🛠️ for designing firework shell breaks and testing where they fly. It shows what a break looks like and where the shell goes. It does not describe how to build 🔨 anything.

Pick a pattern 🔢, size the stars and choose their colours. Cascave simulates every star as it flies out, slows in the air, burns down and droops. You see 👀 the break in 3-D on a twilight sky and can replay it or scrub through time ⏱️.

What you can do:
- Choose from eight patterns, including peony, chrysanthemum, willow, palm, ring and crossette.
- Set the calibre, star size, ejection speed ⚡, burn time ⏱️, ring tilt and split time.
- Read the star count, spread, hang time ⏱️, clearance and symmetry as you adjust.
- Save 💾 shells to a library 📚 with a name and notes 📝, then open, duplicate or delete them.

Fly the shell on the range. Drag ✋ the mortar to tilt it and set the muzzle speed ⚡, the fuse and the wind. The side view shows the arc, the apogee, the burn-out floor and where a dud would land. A verdict strip tells you if the break is clean 🧼, lopsided or too low. Log 📝 any shot to your firing log and review it later on a chart of break height against spread.

See 👀 the break from the audience. Cascave shows its true angular size over a dusk sky or your own venue photo 📸, with the sound delay. Long exposure mode builds a streaked picture you can save 💾.

The colour lab plots each star colour on a CIE 1931 chart 📊 with its dominant wavelength, purity and screen colour. A sample show planner 🗺️ lays out cues on a timeline 🕒 and flags dead air and overlaps.
