Edit: As of June 2026, still no ability to remap controller buttons. Game is unplayable on some Bluetooth controllers, including the very popular 8BitDo line. Original review: This needs the ability to remap Bluetooth controller buttons. The default layout makes my 8Bitdo SN30 Pro practically unusable.

Adore this game. Finished it many MANY times on console. Would love to give it five stars BUT! With on-screen controls it's impossible to activate mist form after double jump to get soul of the bat. Play through stuck in the middle, unable to progress.

Games basically unplayable because of the controls. You will spend 95% of your time trying to jump. A section that takes two seconds to clear with a controller has you trying over and over for 10 mins. The controls are unresponsive, and you have to press them exactly in the center, or it doesn't register. You have to hold down the jump button (exactly right) for 3 seconds to do a high jump. Only pressing it quickly does a tiny jump a centimeter off the ground. Don't even bother
