After installing, if you can't find the samples in Caustic, the folder "EIP C3SamplePack1" was probably created at the wrong location. You just have to move it to the right place. In my case I moved it from caustic/samples/pcmsynth to caustic/presets/pcmsynth.

Sigh. This is not a fake app. It's a sample pack for Causic 3. When you open the app it copies the samples to Caustic's data library. You can then delete the app, because the samples stay in Caustic's library. Hope this clears some things up. Pretty sure this info used to be in the description.
