Description
SilentNotes is a note taking app which respects your privacy. It doesn't collect personal data, runs free of ads and is an open source (FOSS) software. Write your notes in a comfortable WYSIWYG editor with basic formatting like headers or lists, and synchronize them end-to-end encrypted between Android and Windows devices.
Beside writing of traditional notes, you can also create to-do lists to keep track of your pending tasks. Additionally the notes can be password protected with your own password, and quickly found with a full-text search.

The app works as described. Being able to string my notes across multiple devices with either importing or exporting them by hand or using an online cloud storage is a lifesaver. And with it being FOSS, it's nice to have a peace of mind that it can last forever. If there is to be a free and open-source way to sync data over a LAN or direct Wi-Fi as an option, instead of having to use a limited or proprietary situation for that, this app may be future-proof all around.

Five stars for perfect app. But can you add option to show text right-to-left for arabic language. Edit2.and to be able to export notes to text files also. Edit3. And to be able to import text notes to the app as I now copy and paste note by note to migrate to your assume app. Edit.4 and option to hide tags below note and hide Add tag box. Edit5. Plus sign should disappear when scroll down. Thanks

Good app but after pressing enter the curser doesn't go to next line instead new line is created.Also, it would be better if there is an option of archiving the notes.

Since the most recent update, Silent Notes has repeatedly failed to automatically save my notes upon exiting an open note. This has caused me to repeatedly lose what I had written. There have also been issues when accidentally opening the Google Search bottom bar on this Pixel phone while having a Silent Notes note open has caused the entire contents of that note to be deleted. I used to love this app, but something has gone majorly wrong.

Seems like a solid app - I guess? The text is really tiny with no way to increase? Except to make it bold? Maybe there is a way, but it's not intuitive nor easy to find. This app makes a big deal out of exporting to HTML to "save formatting," but the formatting it allows is limited. Some presets for headers and a couple other things. I don't want or need presets. Just let users choose text size. Easy. Or allow the page to be zoomed lol. But then the exported file, the text would be tiny. Oh well.
