ChatReader reads exported chat of WhatsApp. It helps you to read messages and media in a structured manner.

How to export WhatsApp chat?

1. Open Chat in WhatsApp and click on three dots on upper right corner and click 'more' then 'Export chat'.
2. If you want to include your photos and videos then click on 'include media'.
3. Choose Google drive and enter all the details such as folder to export chat data. (It is recommended to create a new folder for each chat)
4. Download all these files to local folder, It contains chat's text file and media files such as Images and Videos.

How to read exported chat?

1. Click on button in the bottom right corner, Enter Name for chat or keep it 'Default' if you want Name to be retrieved from chat.
2. Select folder where chat is exported and click on 'Add Chat'

★★★★★ This app presents exported WhatsApp chats in a format that is similar to the original making it easy to find what you are looking for in your archived chats. I am reviewing this a second time after the developer pushed an update. They were quick to fix an issue that was caused by an update by WhatsApp that caused the imported chat to only show one image under the media tab and all the text message were in one long box, not presented like a chat. With lots of people wanting to abandon WhatsApp this app is a must if you want to archive your old WhatsApp chats. Now I would like to see a media tab in the individual chats, so one can search through just the media from a single chat.

★★☆☆☆ Does not work, I followed the instructions, and it can't find my exported chat the '.txt"

★★☆☆☆ Just shows the backed up messages in the exact same way as if you open the txt file. Does not import media files or display the chat in the WhatsApp chat style.... Useless!
