If you enjoy CHEK 6 News of Victoria, BC, Canada, you'll probably like this app. It's free, safe, and doesn't tout itself as anything more than a simple, easy access way to your favorite Vancouver Island news outlet. 4 out of 5 stars... full screen on videos presently not working, lacking a Chromecast functionality.

Since the latest update, I haven't been able to enter the poll data. The poll test box is tiny, and there is no enter button. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it made no difference. Update: After complaining about the app, the issue has been resolved, so I've added a star to my review 😁

No Livestream and no Chromecast... It just takes you back to the chek website for video content. This is why local TV is failing because stations like chek refuse to get content to consumers in medium consumers wish to see it. Get on Chromecast and people like me will watch your content and advertisements. If not, you deserve to go out of business.

Since you started updating your app, it doesn't work. Uninstalled from Chromecast, now can't reinstall. App on phone wouldn't cast so uninstalled there and reinstalled but no casting icon. I only stream chek news, so now I'm without. Thanks for ruining a good thing.

Very poor. Slow to start. Transitioning from news report to news report is fatally flawed and slow. On initial start/opening it's about less than 50% to get full content on additional news stories after the headliner. When it is functioning, after getting a news item, going back to the main page slides you all the way to the bottom to either the survey question or contact us. A comment on the survey questions. You're not seriously taking the outcomes here as accurate I hope. Overall very poor.
