Chess Pass & Play: 2 Players

Chess Pass & Play is chess for two on one phone or tablet. Sit together, take turns and pass the device: the board turns after every move, so each player always sees their own pieces at the bottom. Playing alone? Take on the computer at Easy, Medium or Hard. Everything works offline, with no Wi-Fi, no account and no sign-in.

TWO PLAYERS, ONE DEVICE
• Passing Device: hand the phone over after each move and the board turns for the next player.
• Face to Face: lay the phone or tablet flat between you and the top player's pieces face them across the table.
• An optional Pass Device screen hides the board and pauses the clock while the device changes hands.
• Rename the players and choose who goes first.

PLAY THE COMPUTER (NEW)
• Three levels: Easy for a relaxed game, Medium for a real fight, Hard when you want a challenge.
• Choose White, Black or Random. Your pieces stay at the bottom.
• Powered by the Stockfish chess engine, running right on your device, so it works offline too.
• Undo takes back the computer's reply as well, and the computer answers draw offers itself.

A REAL GAME OF CHESS
• Chess clock: 1, 3, 10 or 30 minutes per player, or play without a clock.
• Undo, offer a draw, resign and flip the board, just like over the board.
• Evaluation bar from the Stockfish engine, plus move hints, board coordinates and captured pieces.
• Your game saves as you go, so you can close the app and pick up where you left off.

REVIEW EVERY GAME
• After a game, Stockfish rates every move, from Best to Blunder, and shows each player's accuracy.
• Recent games keep the result, the clock and the number of moves. Open any of them to review it.

MAKE IT YOURS
• Light, Dark, AMOLED and Auto themes.
• Five boards: Classic, Green, Blue, Graphite and the new Duo board, with White's half in blue and Black's half in red.
• Sounds and haptics you can turn on or off.

Chess Pass & Play fits every screen, in portrait or landscape. On a tablet the players sit beside a full-size board, which makes it a great family chess board for the table.
