ChessUp is a companion app for the ChessUp smart chessboard. The app provides chess game archives and analysis. The app can link with the chessboard over BLE to provide live Ai assistance. The app can also provide an internet connection for the board in order to play remote chess opponents on various chess platforms.

I have used the board very lightly over the past year due to numerous bugs. I expected the app and the board firmware to become stable after such a long period, but much to my surprise, they have not evolved much, and the bugs still hinder the use of the product. Unfortunately, I have to say that I do not recommend this product

Interesting tech....frequently get booted from a match on chess. Con on chess up....very frustrating.I have 6g Wi-Fi which is not interrupted and 5g on my phone with 5 bars....they need to work out these issues. I do not like getting booted and my score drops. Also the game should be smart enough to immediately reconnect if cycled and match where pieces are on the board.

Despite updating firmware and calibrating the board on a sturdy flat surface, the app often freezes (as does the Chess Up board, incidentally). Update: After a few more days with the board, my opinion is worse. The board often won't connect to Wi-Fi, and we have phones, tablets, game systems, e-readers, computers, etc., which all work fine - the Chess up board has thus far waited a lot of my time and been little more than a headache. Support is meager. Buyer beware!

There's a bug! You can move any pieces in the wrong spot(e.g. Horse can be moved in the ascending spot not in L pattern)
