I bought the Chess Up board to give my 4-year-old a visual tool to learn chess. A few months later, she knows pins, forks, basic opening strategy, basic checkmates, and more. The board itself has incredibly intuitive features which is very satisfying to use. I use the board to play online games over the board myself too. The app has additional training and analysis tools which are just even more icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

There's a bug! You can move any pieces in the wrong spot(e.g. Horse can be moved in the ascending spot not in L pattern)

I downloaded the app. Played a game against the AI and when I tried to review the game the app crashes. For now the bundled app for chess up is not yet polished. I suggest that the manufacturer share their SDK/API to 3rd party app developers ASAP so that more apps (e.g. chess dojo, white pawn app, chess for Android, Fritz, Shredder, etc.) can connect to the CHESS UP eBoard. Other eBoard brands are already supported by these apps. Don't get left behind.

Interesting tech....frequently get booted from a match on chess. Con on chess up....very frustrating.I have 6g Wi-Fi which is not interrupted and 5g on my phone with 5 bars....they need to work out these issues. I do not like getting booted and my score drops. Also the game should be smart enough to immediately reconnect if cycled and match where pieces are on the board.

I have used the board very lightly over the past year due to numerous bugs. I expected the app and the board firmware to become stable after such a long period, but much to my surprise, they have not evolved much, and the bugs still hinder the use of the product. Unfortunately, I have to say that I do not recommend this product
