आयोजन स्थल शहर से बहुत दूर होने के कारण, आम सिने प्रेमी इस festival से दूर ही रहा, यही कारण है कि समाचार पत्रों में कवरेज भी कम ही मिला, उन्ही तिथियों में भारत भवन में एक literature festival आयोजित हुआ था, उसके समाचार पत्रों में कवरेज की तुलना में फ़िल्म फेस्टिवल का कवरेज बहुत न्यून ही रहा।
