I decided to try this app 2 days ago. With the Samsung messages app ending & not satisfied by Google messages I stumbled on Chomp. I am very impressed so far!

I'm actually surprised with how much I like this app. I came across it several times previously when I was looking for a new text app when Verizon messages was discontinued in November 2024, but I ended up using something else in the meantime. Then that app started acting up after an update & so I was on the search again for yet another texting app. So I decided to give it a try & I absolutely love it. I love all the themes. I just can't figure out how to change fonts.

I have tried MANY messaging apps before finding CHOMP SMS. This is the app I will be using to replace the Samsung Messenger app that will be discontinued in July. The Google replacement is the lamest messenger app I've tried. CHOMP SMS does everything I need and has many extras. One of the things I like is the ability to change themes. You can choose a theme that resembles the Samsung colors or make your own theme. I'll be making the one time purchase to get rid of the Ads. Give CHOMP a try.

Still love Chomp but recently my groups texts involving Apple users are not coming through! I have to use the default app for now. Hopefully they fix this!

Seems ok. I was trying to find a substitute for samsung messages, so I tried this. It's alright, but I wish the pop-up icon actually looked like a text icon instead of a smiley face. I can barely tell when I have a message. And I can't customize the fonts beyond simple things. But yeah it'll do for now I guess. edit-yeah so the reply they gave me doesn't work. Also, I realize there's no preview for texts when they come in!! That's horrible. So I think I'll skip this for now.2 stars.

I was; "was" in love with this message app. It has great features. I'm a long time customer. I paid for the full access version, and it worked for years. Now I'm on Verizon, and it will not work with group texts. The contacts names are jumbled mess, and I don't know who it is from, or they are not going through. I have been though all fixes, and it still hasn't worked. Please help!
