I switched to Chomp because Verizon discontinued their message app. I find the Chomp app to be comparable except for the ads in the app.; however the ads aren't intrusive. This is a reasonably good replacement, and I would recommend.

I'm actually surprised with how much I like this app. I came across it several times previously when I was looking for a new text app when Verizon messages was discontinued in November 2024, but I ended up using something else in the meantime. Then that app started acting up after an update & so I was on the search again for yet another texting app. So I decided to give it a try & I absolutely love it. I love all the themes. I just can't figure out how to change fonts.

Still love Chomp but recently my groups texts involving Apple users are not coming through! I have to use the default app for now. Hopefully they fix this!

Okay so far. I like the easy customization. I'm surprised and disappointed that it doesn't have GIF capabilities which is why I'm still up in the air on switching to another app. ETA: had to remove a star because I found out that Chomp is not allowing me to receive all text messages. I've had multiple people who thought I had blocked them. I'm removing the app and going back to my stock one until I can find an alternative.

I was; "was" in love with this message app. It has great features. I'm a long time customer. I paid for the full access version, and it worked for years. Now I'm on Verizon, and it will not work with group texts. The contacts names are jumbled mess, and I don't know who it is from, or they are not going through. I have been though all fixes, and it still hasn't worked. Please help!
