CILSSRADIO est un projet média lancé par le Comité inter-États de lutte contre la sécheresse au Sahel (CILSS) en collaboration avec le centre climatique régional AGRHYMET CCR AOS (AGRrométéorologie, HYdrologie, METéorologie) et l’institut du Sahel (INSAH). CILSSRADIO est un diffuseur d’information dans le domaine du changement climatique, la gestion des ressources naturelles et la sécurité alimentaire. CILSSRADIO diffuse un bulletin météorologique , des débats liés aux problèmes environnementaux mondiaux et du changement
climatique sous forme d’émissions radiophonique. CILSSRADIO diffuse des flashs d’information en continu sur les Prévisions Saisonnières des caractéristiques Agro -hydro-climatiques des grandes saisons des pluies dans les zones du Sahel et toute l’Afrique de l’Ouest qui est considérée comme l'une des régions les plus vulnérables aux chocs climatiques qui affectent grandement son économie.
La mise en place de Flashs d’information radiophonique en diffusion continu et en PodCasts caractérisant la saison des pluies avant même que celle-ci ne démarre permet aux agriculteurs, aux gestionnaires des ressources en eau, aux décideurs et à d'autres utilisateurs de faire des choix optimaux en matière de planification et de conduite à tenir dans leurs activités, afin de maximiser leur production en lien avec la configuration attendue de la saison.
